Nick and Scott are now established figures in their own right, however you can never escape mentions of their famous former mentor Gordon Ramsey, whom they honed their skills under for 15 years.

With a prime location in Souk Madinat Jumeirah, folly by Nick & Scott offers an informal take on Modern-European style dining in a relaxed, welcoming environment. (This may not be on the Valentines menu but one of our previous favourite dishes has been the Monkfish cheeks with paprika and salted lemon.)

Love Brunch – by Love Parties
It may be called Love Brunch but you can forget all about traditional romance here. This time to celebrate singledom at Love Parties’ Anti-Valentine’s Brunch at Spark by Caramel in DIFC. There will be no rose petals and love-themed beverages here – just stellar R&B tunes from the likes of Drake, Usher & a lively vibe.

From 4:00pm till 7:00pm you can still expect a sophisticated brunch experience and a mouth-watering a la carte menu items such as Wagyu Rib Eye, Lime Chicken, Chili Crab Linguine and Conchiglie Morel with Truffle Cream. Finally, sharing desserts include Nutella Cheesecake, Fruit Spoon and Crème Brulee.

Hillhouse Brasserie, Dubai Hills
For those looking to bring Valentine’s Day celebrations forward to the weekend, Hillhouse Brasserie, Dubai’s picturesque all-day eatery in the leafy surrounds of Dubai Hills Golf Club, has two incredible offers suitable for couples, families and groups of friends on Friday 12 and Sunday 14 February.

First up, a Valentine’s Brunch on 12 February will see small plates like tuna and avocado ceviche, seasonal mushroom risotto and lamb rump followed by roasts with a choice of chicken or prime rib of beef and a sharing selection of desserts. A full vegan menu is also available which offers watermelon ceviche, onion bhaji and cauliflower pakoras, followed by a nut roast with all of the trimmings and vegan desserts.
Ladies will also each receive a rose and a special box of chocolates as a post-brunch leaving gift.

Brunch is priced at AED 225 for the soft drink option; AED 375 with house drinks; AED 495 with sparkling grape and themed cocktails; AED 745 with premium sparkling and themed cocktails; and AED 95 for kids.

On 14 February, Hillhouse Brasserie is hosting a special four-course set menu
priced at AED 399 per couple, available from 6pm – 9.30pm, inclusive of two glasses of sparkling on arrival, as well as a rose and a box of chocolates for ladies upon departure.
