Brunch in a Minute⏰: Featuring @west14thsteakhouse Splash & Brunch @dukesthepalm

A classy, dark and cavernous interior contrasts with a laid back, family focussed clientele dressed mostly in swimwear who have escaped the heat of the expansive terrace and will soon be returning to the horizon infinity pool or neighbouring lazy river.

Although set in West 14th, a New York inspired Steakhouse, the brunch itself is not “Steak Themed” as you may first assume. Instead, Family platters of Mixed Sushi, Watermelon & Feta and a Tomato & Artichoke Salad are served alongside Shrimp & Avocado Toast.

Main courses include the W14 beef & chicken sliders, Tomato Arancini, Lasagna Alla Verdure, W14 Buffalo Wild Wings and the unexpected Star of the day, the Fish & Chops served with Cajun Fries. You do have the option of topping up your brunch with either a choice of either USDA Ribeye, Tenderloin or Sirloin Steaks 🥩? for an additional AED 195, but we came fully prepped to swim & didn’t want to sink and so stuck to the light bites, even forgoing the selection of desserts that featured Carrot Cake, Apple pie, Ice cream, fruit salad and classic Battenburg.

4 Summer inspired cocktails as well as an impressive line up of spirits including Mount Gay Rum and Beefeater Gin, while the DJ (thank goodness they are back!) provides a lively beach vibe for the afternoon.
Great value pool & beach access and the light lunch and drinks are a bonus. Will have to return one evening to try out the Steak!
